Who remembers Spice Girls? The shoes made famous by the English pop girl group in the ’90s have slowly been making their comeback. Chunky is in. Platforms are in. Nike cashes in on the latest trend by reimagining the 1985 classic Nike Vandal with a platformed sole, deemed the Vandal Surprise.
This new women’s exclusive ditches the original Vandal’s high top and thin sole for a low top and thick, chunky sole that’s double-stacked with two cupsoles for the ultimate spice girl effect. The leather and textile upper is accented with the Vandal’s iconic collar strap, now moved down towards the toebox. A patent leather swoosh completes this old-school modernized look.
Two colorways of the sneaker are set to arrive for the ladies: a silver/blue/red combination that nods to the Vandal’s OG colorway and a clean black/white/gold for a pop of color for the spring season.
