Every year the NBA All-Star Weekend rolls around and us sneaker lovers look forward to more than just the games. This year during All-Star Weekend we’ll see the long rumored return of the Air Jordan 6 “Black Infrared.” What makes the pair so special?
Besides the fact that MJ himself wore them during his first NBA Championship in 1991, this will be the first time since 2000 that the pair returns with with OG-style Nike Air branding. The pair was last released in 2010 and 2014, but without the original Nike Air branding. 2019’s version of the “Infrared” features true-to-the original detailing and colors – a sneakerhead’s dream.
The colorway is covered in black nubuck for its upper with infrared detailing on the midsole, heel, and the lace tips. Finally, the popular style is topped off with an icy translucent outsole.
If you’re looking to add a true OG Jordan to your collection this year, cop the Air Jordan 6 “Black Infrared” on February 16th. Expect them to arrive on the SNKRS lineup real soon, and they’ll be dropping online and in stores at all your favorite Jordan brand retailers. If you happen to be in New York, KITH Manhattan will be doing an early release on February 1st. Men’s sizing is retailing for $200 USD and GS sizes will be available for $145 USD.
