We all know no one really is waiting for NBA All-Star Weekend for the actual game. All-Star Weekend is all all about the slam dunk contest, three-point contest, and the sneakers! For All-Star Weekend 2017 Nike released the Air Jordan 1 Retro OG’s “All-Star Chameleon.” Also, featured All-Star Weekend were the Air Jordan 6 Chameleon.
This “Chameleon” colorway definitely suits it’s name. The sneaker is draped in a mixture of Purple, Green, Black, White, and Silver color tones. It includes a bold iridescent paneling on the toe, rear, and ankle portion of the silhouette. My favorite feature of these are definitely the iridescent lace tips and translucent outsole.
For the past at least year and a half Nike has been pushing out heavy Air Jordan 1 releases and as much as I dislike overkill, I ain’t even mad at them. OG 1s have easily become my favorite Air Jordan silhouettes.
This colorway is pretty much sold out everywhere, as a classic OG 1 silhouette should be.
Maybe Nike has some more heat on the way? I’m on it. Stay tuned to New Soles.
